Widow Pension Scheme
This is a State scheme under which destitute or deserted women and widows of 18 years or above are given pension as per eligibility criteria laid down in the rules of the scheme.
Rate of Allowance: Rs. 1,800 per month
Eligibility Criteria:
A women of age 18 years and above is eligible for grant of pension under the scheme if she is domicile of Haryana and has been residing in Haryana State for the last one year at the time of submission of application and her own income from all sources is below Rs. 2,00,000 per annum and further any one of the three conditions are fulfilled:
i.) She is a widow; or
ii.) She is destitute without husband, parents and son(s): or
iii.) She is destitute due to desertion or physical/mental incapacity of,
- a) Husband in case of married women; or
- b) Parents in case of other women.
Women employed by any Government or by any Local/Statutory Body or any organization substantially financed by any Government or Local/Statutory Body or those drawing pension or family pension there form will not be eligible under this Scheme.

Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna
This scheme is being implemented to honour the girl child and to ensure that the girls from poor families and daughters of widows/destitute women, sports women and orphan girl children, are married gracefully. For this purpose, a grant is given to the following persons for the celebration of marriage of their daughters under this scheme. Only on-line applications on https://saralharyana.gov.in/ are accepted under this scheme.
The applicant will submit his application before the date of marriage. If the application is being made after marriages it must be made to the District Welfare Officer (if within 2 months of marriage) or to the Deputy Commissioner (if within 6 months of marriage). No application will be entertained after 6 months of the marriage.

Tailoring training to scheduled caste & backward classes widows/destitute women/girls
A scheme for all the Scheduled Caste widows under training in the Community Centre controlled by the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Department, Haryana that requires 20 girls/widows/destitute women from SC community and 5 from OBC community to be given training in each community centre.
The object of awarding stipends to the trainees under training in the Community Centre is to make them capable of earning their livelihood.

Schemes by State Governments for Girl Child
Laldi Scheme
The Ladli Scheme of Haryana is meant to provide benefits to biological parents who have no son (biological or adopted) but only daughters. This scheme is only available to those who are either domicile of Haryana or working for the State government, whose gross annual income of the family does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000.
The pattern of this scheme is similar to the Old Age Samman Allowance scheme for the families having only girl children. The enrolment of families under this scheme commences from the 45th birthday of the mother or the father whoever is older of the two till their 60th birthday i.e. for 15 years (Thereafter they will be eligible for Old Age Samman Allowance). The rate of allowance provided is Rs. 1,800 per month.
