If someone offers you money for your vote, they are committing a crime. This is an act of ‘bribery’. If you accept any money or gifts with the intention of voting for someone who you would not vote for, then you are also committing a crime.

How do you Report and Complain during Elections?

There are options of reporting and complaining during elections. If you have any complaints due to lack of action etc. by authorities, there are many ways to contact the election authorities:

Going to the Officer

You can send a letter to the Electoral Regional Officer, Chief Election Officer or the District Election Officer and file a complaint. You can find out where the offices are here.

Online Websites

The National Grievances Service by the Election Commission is a website where you can file all complaints, suggestions or give information.

Email

If you are an Indian Citizen, then you can send an email to complaints@eci.gov.in and if you are an overseas elector then you can send an email to overseas.elector@eci.gov.in. You can send an email regarding any suggestions or complaints and request any information.

Mobile Applications

If you are an Android Smartphone user, then go to the play store and download the Voter Helpline App. You can lodge your complaint by using the mobile app. To understand more about the application look the C-Vigil Manual.

I was standing for our Gram Panchayat election this year 2023 in our Village, but our opposition party T.M.C haven’t let done the election. They have destroy our all the legal paper and documents. This is our request to cancel the election.

I have noticed that some other criminal from differenct constituency and ward is mis-using my house address and obtained voters id and voter slip. The criminal is also using my house address in his adhaar card. iam furishing the details below to seize his adhaar card and voters id immediately..

name of the criminal: mohammed mallik hussain.
Epic NO: NKD1723866. (obtained with wrong address and details)
Adhaar card no: 930183971943 ( using wrong address)
Serial no: 714,
Assembly constituency no: 138 panyam, ( false constituency)
Andhra pradesh state.

Pleasae cancel his voters id, adhaar card and do the justice.

Aadhaar locked by Aadhaar number holder. This mean that all permanent forms of identifiers are locked for any kind of authentication. Resident can still use VID.
