Protecting prisoners during the pandemic

Addressing the issue of congested prisons affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Supreme Court has ordered the temporary release of certain prisoners with appropriate conditions, and extended parole for others. The Court ordered authorities to provide proper medical facilities to prisoners and to control the spread of Covid-19 in prisons through regular testing.
