You cannot race on the road with any vehicle or allow any racing to occur, without the written permission of the State Government of your state1.
If you do this, you will be punished with jail time of up to 3 months or with a fine of Rs. 5,000, or with both for the first offence. For every subsequent offence, you will be punished with jail time of up to 1 year, or a fine of Rs. 10,000 or both1. The applicable fine amount might vary across states.
