The COVID-19 lockdown across states is a measure to prevent the outbreak of the disease.
The lockdown is imposed through a set of orders by which the National Disaster Management Authority through the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs has requested all Ministries/Departments of the Government of India, State/Union Territory Governments (UT) and State/Union Territory Authorities to take effective measures so as to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The Authority has the power to issue guidelines. They can request Governments and UTs to comply with their directions and implement them strictly.
This lockdown as per the order the lockdown will remain in force in India for 21 days effective 25.03.2020, i.e. till April 15th.
During this lockdown period there are many essential services which will be provided to you by the Government, whereas non-essential services have been temporarily eliminated. The lockdown may also affect your employment as well as your renting situation.0
