Yes, the Court may stop your business or ask the police or government authorities to take action if there is noise pollution. For example, if you are engaged in a business activity like the manufacture of brass utensils which causes noise pollution, then legal action may be taken against you. The Supreme Court in a case1, asked a business to reduce noise utensils as it was disturbing the neighbourhood including teachers, students and neighbours near the business premises, making it within permissible noise limits. Otherwise, the Government would take action by prohibiting the continuance of the noise by removing it, stopping the business, etc.
