Financing any illegal activities in relation to illicit trafficking, either directly or indirectly, is a punishable offence. You can be imprisoned anywhere between 10 years and 20 years and also be made to pay a fine anywhere between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 2 lakhs. The Court has the power to impose a higher fine amount in such cases too.
Harbouring or helping a person engaged in illicit trafficking
You may not be directly involved in any illegal activity, but even if you harbour or help someone who is involved in illegal activities in relation to drugs and substance at your home or any property you own, you are committing a crime. The punishment for this would be the same as financing illicit trafficking.0
